Steve Murphy, Managing Director
Steve founded Frontline Systems in 1992 and is proud to say the company remains true to its original vision – to provide its customers with exceptional IT services and support, and to help customers achieve broader business goals by offering aggregated IT solutions.
During Steve’s leadership, Frontline has remained Australian-owned and in the hands of its founders and staff. London-born, Steve’s early career was with the UK’s National Westminster Bank in operations and programming. In 1979 he came to Australia to work in the oil exploration and engineering fields, and entered the world of IT sales in 1985.
Brian Nizette, Director of Finance
Brian has worked in the IT industry since 1982. As a qualified Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and CFO of Frontline, Brian has an in-depth technical background that places him in an ideal position to understand the intricacies of the operations of both the company and its customers.
Bill Frangeskakis, General Manager
Bill is responsible for all sales and pre-sales technical support at Frontline. He is focused on growing Frontline’s reputation as a Systems Integrator, by delivering solutions that generate commercial benefits for customers. Testimony to his capacity as a leader, Bill opened Frontline’s Melbourne’s office in 2001, where he built a thriving business with key partner relationships during one of the worst times for the IT industry.
With more than 30 years’ experience under his belt, Bill has held senior management roles in sales and marketing for companies including Computer Plus, Praxa and Integrand Solutions.
“The industry has reach a point where the ‘information resource’ is a critical driver of business success. It’s our job to convert this resource into commercial benefit for customers – and we will continue to apply outstanding customer service, coupled with our technology expertise, to deliver it.”
Dominic Calandra, Financial Controller
Dominic joined Frontline in late 2005, bringing a decade of Audit and Accounting experience to his role as Financial Controller. He has served various business structures and entities across a range of industries, and was previously employed as Audit/Business Services Manager with a Chartered Accounting firm in the Sydney CBD.
“I am motivated daily to apply my broad business experience to helping Frontline continue to grow as a successful organisation.”
Michael Chanter, General Manager, Consulting Services
Michael has over 15 years’ enterprise systems and IT strategy experience, and applies his experience across the entire IT spectrum in his current role as General Manager of Consulting Services. He works with our customers in a broad range of areas including IT strategy, enterprise architecture, program management, customer relationship management, system integration and SOA.
Previously, Michael was technical director for a software development firm, where he led a team of 250 consultants, and his past roles include managing director of a business process and technology consultancy.
“Providing point solutions to customers in the enterprise space is no longer enough: our customers demand engagement from IT strategy all the way though to enterprise architecture.”
Greg Wade, Marketing and Communications Manager
Greg has been with Frontline for 12 years, and in his current role for the past four years. With a very strong IT background, Greg has shaped Frontline’s marketing and communications strategy to work in close collaboration with vendors to deliver trends and new technologies to customers. He ensures that Frontline remains positioned as a conservative organisation with deep technical experience, as opposed to early adopters.
“We believe that thought-leadership should come from the vendor – it’s our job to spot and inform customers of trends, showing them how these trends will deliver benefits to their business.”
Robert Cipriani, National Alliances Manager
Robert has been with Frontline Systems for 10 years, in a range of roles that focus on working with vendors to provide the best technology solutions to customers. In his current role, he is responsible for managing the relationships with all strategic vendors (excluding Sun, HP and IBM) – to grow their revenue and deliver more comprehensive solutions to customers. With his team’s deep knowledge of vendor technologies, customers receive a more strategic service that generates better business results.
“Frontline has evolved from shifting boxes and server systems to being an integration company, aggregating multiple technologies to provide richer solutions to customers.”
Francesca Ussia, HR Manager
Francesca has been with Frontline since August 2009. Previously at PriceWaterHouse Coopers and Optus, she has deep experience in working with large organisations. At Frontline, she is focused on delivering policies and processes that help individuals to achieve their goals. From recruitment and inductions to internal communications and recognition programs, Francesca encourages an environment of support and diversity within the organisation.
“We have many diverse ideas, and many different people throughout our company, yet we are still one team and share one common goal.”
Chris Ford, National Sales Manager
Heading up the 40-strong Frontline sales team across NSW, Victoria, the ACT and SA, Chris has built a highly customer-centric culture within sales. With Chris’s support, the team delivers aggregated, robust solutions that are performance-optimised to deliver beneficial business outcomes.
As the industry becomes more commoditised, Chris and his team distinguish themselves by their expertise across multiple vendors’ technologies – to add true value in the delivery of customers’ infrastructure requirements. Prior to joining Frontline in 2008, Chris spent 10 years at Compaq HP in various sales and marketing roles.
“The Frontline sales team gets results because of their deep knowledge, skills and experience in the industry; plus they’re backed by exceptional technical resources.”
